Sources and Verification

The most important sources for a local-service decision are often local: the provider’s written documents and the authority that issues a licence, permit or registration.

Recommended source order

  1. The provider’s written estimate, contract and warranty.
  2. The official licensing, permit, registry or consumer-protection authority for the location.
  3. Current insurance or workers’ compensation evidence when relevant.
  4. Manufacturer or product documentation for technical claims.
  5. Recent, detailed reviews used as supporting evidence rather than proof.
